RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG


    1. Install the radiator drain cock plug.

  2. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT GROMMET


    1. Install the 2 lower radiator support grommets onto the radiator assembly.

  3. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION


    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions onto the radiator assembly.

  4. INSTALL NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    1. Install the No. 4 water by-pass hose with the clip.

      Note

      Perform the installation with the hose clip and mark at the correct angle.

  5. INSTALL FAN SHROUD

    A0047YZ

    1. Install the 2 pawl fittings and the fan shroud.

    2. Engage the 2 claws.

  6. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Conditioning System)

    1. Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Engage the 2 claws and install the cooler condenser onto the radiator assembly.

    3. A0046WW

      Install the cooler condenser with radiator assembly onto the vehicle.

      Note

      Do not damage the cooler condenser or radiator when installing the radiator assembly.

    4. Engage the hose clamp and install the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the fan shroud.

    5. Connect the cooling fan motor connector and the wire harness clamp.

  7. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Air Conditioning System)


    1. Install the radiator assembly onto the vehicle.

    2. Engage the hose clamp and install the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the fan shroud.

    3. Connect the cooling fan motor connector and the wire harness clamp.

  8. CONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY B (w/ Air Conditioning System)


    1. Engage the clamp and install the liquid tube sub-assembly B onto the fan shroud with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
  9. CONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY A (w/ Air Conditioning System)

  10. CONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE (w/ Air Conditioning System)

  11. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

    *e 5.0 mm (0.197 in. lbf)

    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly with the clip.

      Tech Tips

      Perform the installation with the hose clip and mark at the correct angle.

    2. Connect the vacuum hose to the clamp.

  12. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

    1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly with the clip.

      Note

      Perform the installation with the hose clip and mark at the correct angle.

  13. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  14. INSTALL AIRBAG SENSOR BRACKET

  15. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }
    2. Engage the 2 clamps of the upper radiator support.

  16. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the radiator reserve tank with the bolt.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
    2. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the reserve tank with the clip.

      Note

      Perform the installation with the hose clip and mark at the correct angle.

    3. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose to the reserve tank with the clip.

      Note

      Perform the installation with the hose clip and mark at the correct angle.

  17. INSTALL CENTER ENGINE UNDER COVER

  18. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY

  19. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  20. CHARGE REFRIGERANT (w/ Air Conditioning System)

  21. WARM UP ENGINE

  22. ADJUST HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  23. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

    Click here

  24. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK (w/ Air Conditioning System)
