RADIATOR INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:


  • Be sure that the ignition switch is off if you work near the electric cooling fans or radiator grille. With the ignition switch ON, the electric cooling fans may automatically start if the engine coolant temperature is high or the air conditioning is on.

  • Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing. (SeePage Click here)

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG


    1. Install the radiator drain cock plug.

  2. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT GROMMET


    1. Install the 2 lower radiator support grommet onto the radiator assembly.

  3. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION


    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions onto the radiator assembly.

  4. INSTALL FAN SHROUD

    1. Install the 2 pawl fittings and the fan shroud.

    2. Engage the 2 claws.

  5. INSTALL WATER FILLER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the water filler sub-assembly with the clip.

    2. Install the water filler bracket with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

    A01VFHR

    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the radiator assembly onto the vehicle.

      Note

      Do not damage the cooler condenser or radiator when installing the radiator assembly.

    2. Engage the 3 clamps and install the oxygen sensor wire harness.

    3. Engage the wire harness clamp and connect the cooling fan motor connector.

  7. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

    1. Connect No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly with the clip.

  8. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

    1. Connect No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly with the clip.

  9. CONNECT RADIATOR RESERVOIR TANK HOSE


    1. Connect the radiator reservoir tank hose.

  10. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the horn connector.

    3. Connect the front airbag sensor connector and engage the 2 wire harness clamps.

  11. INSTALL AIRBAG SENSOR BRACKET

  12. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the clamps.

  13. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY

  14. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

  15. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  16. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

  17. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT TURN OFF

  18. WARM UP ENGINE

  19. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

  20. ADJUST HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
