    The valve opening temperature is inscribed on the thermostat.


    1. A01VIOT

      Check the operation.


      1. Immerse the thermostat in water and gradually heat the water.

        CAUTION:

        Make sure not to burn yourself.

      2. Check the valve opening temperature of the thermostat.

        Valve opening temperature
        78 to 82°C (172 to 180°F)

        If the valve opening temperature is not as specified, replace the thermostat.

      Check the valve lift.

      Valve lift
      8.5 mm (0.33 in.) or more at 93°C (199°F)

    3. Check that the valve is fully closed when the thermostat is at low temperatures (below 75°C (167°F)).

      If the valve is not fully closed, replace the thermostat.
