WATER PUMP INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

   INSTALL ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      Install a new water pump gasket to the timing chain cover sub-assembly.

      Tip:

      Install the water pump gasket with its protrusion facing the engine water pump assembly.

   2. 

      Temporarily install the engine water pump assembly to the timing chain cover sub-assembly with the 5 bolts.

      Table 2. Bolt Length:

      Item	Length
      Bolt A	45 mm (1.772 in.)
      Bolt B	20 mm (0.787 in.)

   3. Tighten the 5 bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.

      28 N*m

      286 kgf*cm

      21 ft.*lbf

   INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly to the timing chain cover sub-assembly with the bolt.

      54 N*m

      551 kgf*cm

      40 ft.*lbf

3. Click here

   INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

4. Click here

   ADD ENGINE COOLANT

   Click here

5. Click here

   INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK
