SUPERCHARGER INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT SUPERCHARGER ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the by-pass valve vacuum hose has no cracks or damage.

    2. B00475K

      Disconnect the by-pass valve vacuum hose from the supercharger assembly.

    3. B0045ZQ

      Connect the vacuum pump to the by-pass valve vacuum hose.

    4. Using a vacuum pump, apply a vacuum to the by-pass valve vacuum actuator and check its operation.

      OK
      The rod and ring of the by-pass valve vacuum actuator operate when a vacuum is applied, and return to their original positions without catching when the vacuum is released.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the supercharger assembly.

    5. Disconnect the vacuum pump from the by-pass valve vacuum hose.

    6. Connect the by-pass valve vacuum hose to the supercharger assembly.
