EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE

   Click here

2. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

   Click here

3. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Turn back the front floor carpet assembly.

   2. 

      Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

   3. 

      Remove the heated oxygen sensor wire grommet and pass the connector through the hole to the outside of the vehicle.

   4. 

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs to disconnect the front exhaust pipe assembly from the exhaust manifold.

   5. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs to disconnect the front exhaust pipe assembly from the tail exhaust pipe assembly.

   6. Disconnect the 3 exhaust pipe supports to remove the front exhaust pipe assembly from the vehicle.

   7. Remove the 2 exhaust pipe gaskets from the exhaust manifold and front exhaust pipe assembly.

4. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH

5. REMOVE OXYGEN SENSOR

   Click here

6. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator from the exhaust manifold.

7. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 3 bolts and manifold stay.

8. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 5 nuts and exhaust manifold from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

9. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET

   
   

   1. Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

10. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

    
    

    1. 

       Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator from the exhaust manifold.
