INTAKE MANIFOLD INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD


    1. Install a new No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket onto the intake manifold.

    2. Temporarily install the intake manifold onto the cylinder head sub-assembly with the 3 bolts and 2 nuts.

    3. A01VHLME02

      Tighten the 3 bolts and 2 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      24 N*m  { 245 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }

    4. Connect the 2 wire harness clamp brackets to the intake manifold with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

    5. Engage the 2 clamps and connect the wire harness to the intake manifold.

    6. Connect the connector of the manifold absolute pressure sensor.

  2. CONNECT NO. 2 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose to the intake manifold.

  3. CONNECT VENTILATION HOSE


    1. Connect the ventilation hose to the intake manifold with the hose clamp.

  4. CONNECT UNION TO CHECK VALVE HOSE


    1. Connect the union to check valve hose to the intake manifold.

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 EGR PIPE


    1. Install a new No. 2 EGR pipe gasket onto the intake manifold.

    2. Install a new EGR pipe gasket onto the EGR valve assembly.

    3. Temporarily install the No. 1 EGR pipe with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

    4. A01VKU0E02

      Tighten the 2 bolts and 2 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 HEATER BRACKET


    1. Install the No. 1 heater bracket onto the intake manifold with the bolt.

      Torque:
      9.8 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf }

    2. Engage the clamp and connect the heater water hose inlet A to the No. 1 heater bracket.

  7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the air cleaner case sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.8 N*m  { 80 kgf*cm, 69 in.*lbf }

  8. INSTALL INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER

  10. INSTALL THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

  11. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL

  13. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL
