INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL

    Click here

  3. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH

    Click here

  4. REMOVE INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE

    Click here

  5. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL

    Click here

  6. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER

    Click here

  9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts and the air cleaner case sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER BRACKET

      Disengage the clamp and disconnect the heater water hose inlet A from the No. 1 heater bracket.

    2. A01VFBR

      Remove the bolt and No. 1 heater bracket from the intake manifold.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 EGR PIPE

      Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and the No. 1 EGR pipe.

    2. Remove the EGR pipe gasket from the EGR valve assembly.

    3. Remove the No. 2 EGR pipe gasket from the intake manifold.

  12. SEPARATE UNION TO CHECK VALVE HOSE

      Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the union to check valve hose from the intake manifold.

  13. DISCONNECT VENTILATION HOSE

      Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the ventilation hose from the intake manifold.

  14. SEPARATE NO. 2 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE


    1. A01VIGU

      Disconnect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose from the intake manifold.

  15. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD


    1. A01VDI9

      Disconnect the connector of the manifold absolute pressure sensor.

    2. Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the wire harness from the intake manifold.

    3. Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness clamp bracket from the intake manifold.

    4. A01VHUU

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness clamp bracket from the intake manifold.

    5. A01VJ54

      Remove the 3 bolts and 2 nuts and remove the intake manifold from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

    6. Remove the No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket from the intake manifold.
