INTERCOOLER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE CENTER ENGINE UNDER COVER

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector of the mass air flow meter.

    2. Disengage the 4 clamps and disconnect the wire harness from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

    3. A01VKDP

      Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 1 air cleaner hose from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

    4. Disengage the 2 lock clamps and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 bolts and the air cleaner case from the air cleaner bracket.

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 3 AIR HOSE


    1. A01VGRQ

      Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 3 air hose from the intercooler assembly.

  7. DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR HOSE

      Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.

    2. A01VHUR

      Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 2 air hose from the intercooler assembly.

  8. SEPARATE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01VFKZ

      Remove the bolt and separate the radiator reserve tank assembly from the radiator support sub-assembly.

  9. SEPARATE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01VM8O

      Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the radiator support sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and separate the hood lock assembly from the radiator support sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE AIRBAG SENSOR BRACKET

  11. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01VFMI

      Disconnect the connector of the front airbag sensor Click here.

    2. Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the wire harness from the radiator support sub-assembly.

    3. A01VKBF

      Disconnect the connector of the low pitched horn assembly.

    4. A01VLCK

      Remove the 4 bolts and the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the intercooler assembly.

  13. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION


    1. A01VKEY

      Remove the radiator support cushion from the intercooler assembly.

  14. REMOVE GROMMET


    1. A01VGF4

      Remove the 2 grommets from the intercooler assembly.
