INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE EGR COOLER ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE VACUUM SENSOR (MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR)

  3. REMOVE PURGE VALVE (PURGE VSV)

    Click here

  4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  5. REMOVE STUD BOLT

      Using "TORX" socket wrench E6, remove the 2 stud bolts from the intake manifold.

  6. SEPARATE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Disengage the clamp to separate the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the intake manifold.

  7. DISCONNECT UNION TO CONNECTOR TUBE HOSE

      Slide the hose clip and disconnect the union to connector tube hose from the intake manifold.

  8. DISCONNECT NO. 2 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE

      Disconnect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose from the intake manifold.

  9. DISCONNECT VENTILATION HOSE ASSEMBLY

      Slide the hose clip and disconnect the ventilation hose from the intake manifold.

  10. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the intake manifold.

    2. A0046SK

      Disengage the clamp to separate the wire harness from the intake manifold.

    3. A0049L0

      Disengage the 3 clamps to separate the wire harness from the intake manifold.

    4. A0047DG

      Remove the 3 bolts, 2 nuts and intake manifold from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET

      Remove the No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket from the intake manifold.
