INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL

    Click here

  3. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH

    Click here

  4. REMOVE INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE

    Click here

  5. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL

    Click here

  6. REMOVE MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR

    Click here

  7. DISCONNECT NO. 2 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE

      Loosen the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose from the intake manifold.

  8. DISCONNECT BOOSTER VACUUM TUBE

      Pinch the retainer as illustrated, then pull the booster vacuum tube connector out of the intake manifold.

    2. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the booster vacuum tube from the hose clamp.

      Disengage the clip and remove the hose clamp from the intake manifold.

  9. DISCONNECT VENTILATION HOSE

      Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the ventilation hose from the intake manifold.

  10. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the water by-pass hose assembly from the hose clamp bracket.

    2. A01VIDW

      Remove the bolt and hose clamp bracket from the intake manifold.

  11. REMOVE FUEL PIPE CLAMP

      Remove the fuel pipe clamp from the fuel tube sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD STAY

      Remove the 2 bolts and remove the intake manifold stay from the intake manifold.

  13. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

      Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the wire harness from the wire harness clamp bracket and the intake manifold.

    2. A01VM3E

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the intake manifold.

    3. A01VIZ4

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts and remove the intake manifold from the No. 1 intake manifold insulator.

    4. Remove the No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket from the intake manifold.

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD INSULATOR

      Remove the 2 bolts and nut, and remove the No. 1 intake manifold insulator from the EGR valve.

    2. Remove the No. 2 intake manifold to head gasket from the cylinder head.

  15. REMOVE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY
