PCV VALVE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT PCV VALVE (VENTILATION VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY)


    1. Check PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly) operation.


      1. Install a clean hose to the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly) of the ventilation case side.

        Blow air into the ventilation case side, and check that air passes through easily.

        CAUTION:

        Do not suck air through the valve.

        Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).

      3. Remove the clean hose from the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly) of the ventilation case side.

        B0045SR Air

        Blow air into the supercharger assembly side, and check that air passes through with difficulty.

        CAUTION:

        Do not suck air through the valve.

        Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).

    2. Remove the clean hose from the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly) of the supercharger assembly side.
