INTAKE MANIFOLD INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY

  2. TEMPORARILY INSTALL NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD INSULATOR


    1. Install a new No. 2 intake manifold to head gasket onto the cylinder head.

    2. Temporarily install the No. 1 intake manifold insulator onto the EGR valve with the 2 bolts and nut.

  3. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD


    1. A01VLYJ

      Install a new No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket onto the intake manifold.

    2. Temporarily install the intake manifold onto the No. 1 intake manifold insulator with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

    3. A01VM5OE02

      Tighten the 4 bolts and 3 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      30 N*m  { 306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }

    4. Install the fuel pipe clamp onto the fuel tube sub-assembly.

    5. Install the wire harness clamp bracket onto the intake manifold with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 85 kgf*cm, 73 in.*lbf }

    6. Engage the 2 clamps and connect the wire harness to the wire harness clamp bracket and the intake manifold.

    7. Install the hose clamp bracket onto the intake manifold with the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    8. Engage the 2 clamps and connect the water by-pass hose assembly to the hose clamp bracket.

  4. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD STAY


    1. A01VILNE02

      Temporarily install the intake manifold stay onto the intake manifold with the 2 bolts.

    2. Tighten the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  5. CONNECT VENTILATION HOSE


    1. Connect the ventilation hose to the intake manifold with the hose clamp.

  6. CONNECT BOOSTER VACUUM TUBE


    1. Engage the clip and install the hose clamp onto the intake manifold.

    2. Connect the booster vacuum tube connector to the intake manifold.

    3. Connect the booster vacuum tube to the hose clamp.

  7. CONNECT NO. 2 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose to the intake manifold with the hose clamp.

  8. INSTALL MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR

  9. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL

  10. INSTALL INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE

  11. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL

  12. INSTALL FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH

  13. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

  14. INSPECT INTAKE SYSTEM
