DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the differential pressure sensor assembly to the sensor bracket with the bolt.

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }
    2. Connect the No. 2 vacuum transmitting hose assembly to the differential pressure sensor assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.

    3. Connect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose assembly to the differential pressure sensor assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.

    4. Engage the guide to install the No. 2 wiring harness heat insulator to the differential pressure sensor assembly.

    5. Return the No. 2 wiring harness heat insulator and engage the snap fastener.

    6. Engage the clamp to connect the engine wire from the sensor bracket.

    7. Connect the differential pressure sensor assembly connector.

  2. INSTALL WIRING HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET


    1. Install the wiring harness clamp bracket to the No. 2 engine cover bracket with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
  3. INSTALL NO. 1 WIRING HARNESS HEAT INSULATOR


    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the No. 1 wiring harness heat insulator to the wiring harness clamp bracket.

    2. Connect the exhaust gas temperature sensor (sensor 1) connector.

    3. Engage the clamp to connect the engine wire to the wiring harness clamp bracket.

    4. Engage the clamp to connect the exhaust gas temperature sensor (sensor 1) wire to the wiring harness clamp bracket.

    5. Connect the air fuel ratio sensor (sensor 2) connector.

    6. Connect the air fuel ratio sensor (sensor 2) wire to the wiring harness clamp bracket.

    7. Connect the air fuel ratio sensor (sensor 1) connector.

    8. Connect the air fuel ratio sensor (sensor 1) wire to the wiring harness clamp bracket.

    9. Return the No. 1 wiring harness heat insulator and engage the 2 snap fasteners.

  10. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL (for LHD)

  12. INSTALL FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

  14. PERFORM DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR LEARNING


    1. Start the engine and wait until the engine coolant temperature reaches 75°C (167°F) or more (A).

    2. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for 30 seconds or more (B).

    3. Repeat the above procedures (A) and (B) 3 times.

      Tech Tips


      • Procedures (A) and (B) must be repeated 3 times to complete the differential pressure sensor learning process.

      • If the differential pressure sensor learning is incomplete, DTC P244A may be stored.
