Although the part name refers to the ventilation valve sub-assembly, this procedure is for the PCV valve.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT VENTILATION VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a clean hose to the ventilation valve sub-assembly.

    2. Check the ventilation valve sub-assembly operation.

        A01VL3H Cylinder Head Cover Side
        A01VE7C Air

        Blow air into the cylinder head cover side, and check that air passes through easily.

        CAUTION:


        • Do not suck air through the valve.

        • Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the ventilation valve sub-assembly.

        A01VL3H Intake Manifold Side
        A01VE7C Air

        Blow air into the intake air manifold side, and check that air passes through with difficulty.

        CAUTION:


        • Do not suck air through the valve.

        • Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the ventilation valve sub-assembly.

    3. Remove the clean hose from the ventilation valve sub-assembly.
