DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR

    Tech Tips

The type of ignition switch used on this model differs according to the specifications of the vehicle. For the expressions used in this section, refer to the "Expressions of Ignition Switch" precaution Click here.

    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / DPF Differential Pressure.

    5. Disconnect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose from the differential pressure sensor assembly.

Using SST, apply pressure to the differential pressure sensor assembly.

      SST
      09992-00242
    7. Check the pressure value of the differential pressure sensor assembly.

      Standard pressure
Approximately the same pressure as the applied pressure is indicated.

      Note

Perform the inspection within the range of 0 to 98 kPa (0 to 1 kg/cm2, 0 to 6.9 psi).

If the result is not as specified, check the differential pressure sensor assembly circuit Click here.

    8. Connect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose to the differential pressure sensor assembly.
