EGR COOLER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

    Click here

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  4. REMOVE EGR WITH COOLER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector and disengage the wire harness clamp.

    2. A01VIZF

      Disconnect the 2 connectors and disengage the wire harness clamp.

    3. Remove the bolt.

    4. A01VIQF

      Disconnect the vacuum transmitting hose from the turbo pressure sensor.

    5. Remove the bolt and turbo pressure sensor from the EGR cooler assembly.

    6. A01VK4N

      Disconnect the vacuum hose, No. 2 oil cooler hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the EGR cooler assembly.

    7. A01VFDD

      Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts and EGR with cooler pipe assembly.

    8. Remove the inlet EGR gasket and EGR pipe gasket from the cylinder head and electric EGR control valve.

  5. REMOVE EGR PIPE CONNECTOR

      Remove the bolt and 2 nuts, and remove the EGR pipe connector.

    2. Remove the No. 2 EGR cooler gasket and EGR by-pass valve assembly from the EGR cooler assembly.

    3. Remove the No. 1 EGR cooler gasket from the EGR cooler assembly.

      Remove the 2 stud bolts from the EGR cooler assembly.
