FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION TUBE WITH PUMP AND GAUGE ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

   Click here

3. REMOVE FUEL PUMP HARNESS

   Click here

4. REMOVE FUEL PUMP FILTER

   Click here

5. REMOVE FUEL PUMP

   Click here

6. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL SUCTION SUPPORT

   
   

   1. 

      *a

      Lock

      Disengage the 3 claws while pushing the No. 1 fuel suction support downward.

   2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, release the lock and disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 1 fuel suction support from the canister (charcoal canister sub-assembly).

      Note

      Do not damage the No. 1 fuel suction support.

   3. 

      Remove the O-ring from the canister (charcoal canister sub-assembly).

7. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL SUCTION SUPPORT

   
   

   1. 

      Disengage the 3 claws and clamp to remove the No. 2 fuel suction support from the No. 1 fuel suction support.

      Note

      Do not damage the No. 1 fuel suction support and No. 2 fuel suction support.

8. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the fuel pressure regulator assembly from the No. 1 fuel suction support.

      Note

      
      

      • Be careful not to damage the No. 1 fuel suction support.

      • Make sure that foreign material does not enter the fuel passages of the No. 1 fuel suction support.

   2. 

      Remove the O-ring from the fuel pressure regulator assembly.
