FUEL FILTER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

  2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL (for LHD)

  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL (for RHD)

  4. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH (for LHD)

    Click here

  5. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH (for RHD)

    Click here

  6. REMOVE INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE (for LHD)

    Click here

  7. REMOVE INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE (for RHD)

    Click here

  8. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL (for LHD)

    Click here

  9. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL (for RHD)

    Click here

  10. REMOVE FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY WITH SUPPORT


    1. A01VLBQ

      Disconnect the No. 2 fuel hose from the fuel filter assembly.

    2. A01VHEM

      Disconnect the fuel hose from the fuel filter assembly.

    3. A01VH8X

      Disconnect the No. 2 fuel pipe sub-assembly from the fuel filter assembly.

      Release the retainer as shown in the illustration and disconnect the fuel tank to canister tube fuel hose from the fuel filter assembly.

      Note


      • Check for dirt or other foreign matter on the parts to be disconnected and clean them if necessary.

      • The quick connector seals with an O-ring. Ensure that there is no damage or foreign matter on the contact surface.

      • Do not use any tools.

      • Do not bend or twist the tubes.

      • Protect the contact surface by covering it with a plastic bag.

      • If the connector is stuck, push and pull on the parts to separate them.

    5. A01VLIC

      Disconnect the fuel sedimenter connector.

    6. A01VHZ4

      Remove the bolt, and remove the fuel filter assembly with support.

  11. DRAIN FUEL


    1. Loosen the drain plug, and then use the hand pump and drain the fuel from the fuel filter.

  12. REMOVE FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the drain screw from the fuel filter assembly.

    2. A01VE5H

      Disengage the claw and remove the fuel filter assembly from the No. 1 fuel filter protector.
