  1. INSPECT SUPPLY PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Component without harness connected

      (Supply Pump Assembly)

      Check the resistance of the fuel metering unit.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 2.6 to 3.15 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the supply pump assembly.

      Check the resistance of the fuel temperature sensor.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 -20°C (-4°F) 13.92 to 17.01 Ω
        0°C (32°F) 5.31 to 6.49 Ω
        20°C (68°F) 2.25 to 2.75 Ω
        40°C (104°F) 1.06 to 1.29 Ω
        60°C (140°F) 0.54 to 0.66 Ω
        80°C (176°F) 0.29 to 0.36 Ω
        100°C (212°F) 0.17 to 0.20 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the supply pump assembly.
