ENGINE UNIT REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE


    1. B00468L

      Remove the engine oil level dipstick.

    2. B0047HJ

      Remove the bolt and oil level dipstick guide from the supercharger assembly and oil pan sub-assembly.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the engine oil level dipstick guide.

  2. DISCONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    Click here

  3. DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    Click here

  4. REMOVE SUPERCHARGER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  5. REMOVE INTERCOOLER RESERVE TANK BRACKET

      Remove the 3 bolts and intercooler reserve tank bracket.

  6. REMOVE AIR TUBE

      Remove the 2 bolts and air tube from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE

    Click here

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 DELIVERY PIPE SPACER

    Click here

  9. REMOVE INJECTOR VIBRATION INSULATOR

    Click here

  10. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  11. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

    Click here

  13. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

    Click here

  14. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD

    Click here

  15. REMOVE VENTILATION HOSE

      Remove the ventilation hose.

  16. SEPARATE NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Remove the bolt and separate the No. 3 water by-pass hose from the water inlet housing.

  17. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS PIPE


    1. B0045JL

      Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 water by-pass pipe.

  18. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. B0048CK

      Remove the clamp and water by-pass hose.

  19. REMOVE WATER INLET HOSE


    1. B0047V6

      Remove the 2 clamps and water inlet hose.

  20. REMOVE WATER INLET

    Click here

  21. REMOVE THERMOSTAT

    Click here

  22. REMOVE ALTERNATOR TENSIONER BRACKET

      Remove the bolt and alternator tensioner bracket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

  23. REMOVE SUPERCHARGER NOSE SUPPORT BRACKET

      Remove the 3 bolts and supercharger nose support bracket from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

  24. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR HEAT SHIELD

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and crankshaft position sensor heat shield from the cylinder block sub-assembly.
