FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL


    1. Apply MP grease to the lip of a new timing chain cover oil seal.

      Note

      Keep the lip free from foreign matter.

    2. A0048YRE01

      Using SST, tap in the timing chain cover oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain cover assembly.

      09223-22010
      Standard depth
      0 to 1.0 mm (0 to 0.0394 in.) (From the edge of the timing chain cover assembly)

      Note


      • Do not tap in the timing chain cover oil seal at an angle.

      • Wipe off any excess grease from the crankshaft.

  2. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY


    1. A0048QIC03
      *a Key Groove
      *b Crankshaft Straight Pin
      *c Hold
      *d Turn

      Align the crankshaft straight pin with the key groove of the crankshaft pulley, and then set the crankshaft pulley to the crankshaft.

    2. Temporarily tighten the crankshaft pulley set bolt.

    3. Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley and fully tighten the crankshaft pulley set bolt.

      Torque:
      164 N*m  { 1672 kgf*cm, 121 ft.*lbf }
  3. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  4. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK

    Click here

  5. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

    Click here

  6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
