DRIVE BELT INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

   INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

   
   
   1. 

      *A	w/o Air Conditioning System
      *B	w/ Air Conditioning System
      *1	Crankshaft Pulley
      *2	Generator Assembly
      *3	Engine Water Pump Assembly
      *4	Compressor with Pulley Assembly

      Install the fan and generator V belt to each pulley.

   2. If it is difficult to install the fan and generator V belt, perform the following procedure:

      
      

      1. Install the fan and generator V belt on each pulley except the tensioner pulley as shown in the illustration.

      2. Release the fan and generator V belt tension by turning the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly counterclockwise, and install the fan and generator V belt on the tensioner pulley.

         Note:
         

         • Install the backside of the fan and generator V belt on the V-ribbed belt tensioner pulley.

         • Check that the fan and generator V belt is properly installed to each pulley.

   3. 

      *a	5 mm Hexagon Wrench
      *b	Turn

      Turn the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly counterclockwise and remove the 5 mm hexagon wrench.

   4. After installing the fan and generator V belt, check that it fits properly in the ribbed grooves. Confirm that the belt has not slipped out of the grooves on the bottom of the crankshaft pulley by hand.

   INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

   
   

   1. Install engine under cover RH to the vehicle with the 2 bolts and 3 screws.
