ENGINE UNIT INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET


    1. Install the wire harness clamp bracket A to the cylinder head cover with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

    2. Install the wire harness clamp bracket B to the cylinder head with the bolt.

      Torque:
      29 N*m  { 296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }

    3. Install the wire harness clamp bracket C to the cylinder head with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

    4. Install the wire harness clamp bracket D to the cylinder block with the bolt.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET (w/o Air Conditioning System)


    1. Install the wire harness clamp bracket to the cylinder block with the bolt.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the V-ribbed belt tensioner with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  4. CONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE


    1. Connect the hose to the water inlet with the clamp.

    2. Install the No. 1 water by-pass pipe to the cylinder block with the bolt.

      Torque:
      22 N*m  { 224 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE


    1. Install the No. 2 ventilation hose to the cylinder head cover.

  6. INSTALL VENTILATION HOSE


    1. Install the ventilation hose to the cylinder head cover.

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 IGNITION COIL

    Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the ignition coil assembly Click here.


    1. Install the 4 ignition coils with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  8. INSTALL EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY

  9. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 EGR PIPE

    Click here

  11. INSTALL THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 DELIVERY PIPE SPACER

    Click here

  13. INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  14. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE

    Click here

  15. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  16. INSTALL MANIFOLD STAY

    Click here

  17. INSTALL NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

    Click here

  18. INSTALL NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

    Click here

  19. SUSPEND ENGINE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  20. REMOVE ENGINE STAND


    1. Attach the engine to the sling device with the chain block.

    2. Remove the engine stand from the engine.
