ENGINE UNIT REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ENGINE STAND


    1. Set the engine on an engine stand.

  2. REMOVE ENGINE HANGER

    Click here

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

    Click here

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

    Click here

  5. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

    Click here

  6. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  7. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE

    Click here

  8. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 DELIVERY PIPE SPACER

    Click here

  10. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 EGR PIPE

    Click here

  12. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

    Click here

  13. REMOVE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 IGNITION COIL


    1. A01VDIK

      Remove the 4 bolts and 4 ignition coils.

  15. REMOVE VENTILATION HOSE


    1. A01VM81

      Remove the ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE


    1. A01VI6P

      Remove the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover.

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE


    1. A01VIUI

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Disconnect the hose and remove the No. 1 water by-pass pipe.

  18. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01VEOA

      Remove the 2 bolts and V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.

  19. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET


    1. A01VFDK

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket A from the cylinder head cover.

    2. A01VGI1

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket B from the cylinder head.

    3. A01VI1W

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket C from the cylinder head.

    4. A01VGCL

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket D from the cylinder block.

  20. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET (w/o Air Conditioning System)


    1. A01VLFD

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the cylinder head.
