PROCEDURE
REMOVE INTAKE VALVE

Place the cylinder head sub-assembly on wooden blocks.
Using SST, remove the valve spring retainer locks, valve spring retainers and inner compression springs from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
Tech Tips
Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
Remove the intake valves from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE

Place the cylinder head sub-assembly on wooden blocks.
Using SST, remove the valve spring retainer locks, valve spring retainers and inner compression springs from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

REMOVE VALVE STEM OIL SEAL
Using needle-nose pliers, remove the valve stem oil seals from the intake valve guide bushes and exhaust valve guide bushes.
REMOVE VALVE SPRING SEAT
Using compressed air and a magnet hand, remove the valve spring seats from the cylinder head sub-assembly by blowing air onto them.
Note
Be careful when applying compressed air because oil may splatter.
REMOVE STUD BOLT
Using double nuts, remove stud bolts A from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
Using an E8 "TORX" socket, remove stud bolts B from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD OIL ORIFICE
Remove the cylinder head oil orifice from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
