PROCEDURE
INSTALL ENGINE REAR OIL SEAL
Apply engine oil to the lip of a new engine rear oil seal.

Note
Keep the lip free from foreign materials.
Using SST and a hammer, evenly tap the engine rear oil seal until its surface is flush with the engine rear oil seal retainer edge.

Note
Do not tap on the engine rear oil seal at an angle.
INSTALL FLYWHEEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley.
Clean the 6 bolts and 6 bolt holes.

Apply adhesive to the 2 or 3 threads at the end of each of the 6 bolts.

| Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent. |
Note
To prevent contamination by foreign matter, install immediately after applying adhesive.
Install the flywheel sub-assembly to the crankshaft with the 6 bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Note
Do not start the engine for at least 1 hour after installation.

INSTALL MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY
