FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL


    1. A01VG08

      Apply engine oil to a new oil seal lip.

    2. A01VFAEE01

      Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal as shown in the illustration.

      Standard depth
      -0.5 to 1.0 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0394 in.)
      SST
      09950-60010   ( 09951-00500, 09952-06010 )
      09950-70010   ( 09951-00720 )

      Note

      Do not tap the oil seal at an angle.

  2. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY


    1. Align the pulley set key with the key groove of the pulley.

    2. Using SST, hold the pulley in place and tighten the bolt.

      SST
      09960-10010   ( 09962-01000, 09963-01000 )
      Torque:
      180 N*m  { 1835 kgf*cm, 133 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL OIL FILTER BRACKET


    1. Install a new oil filter bracket gasket from the oil filter bracket.

    2. Install the oil filter bracket with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      24 N*m  { 245 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  5. INSPECT FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

    Click here

  6. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

    Torque:
    5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm }

  7. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm }

  8. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK
