REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT
REMOVE OIL FILTER BRACKET
REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley in place and loosen the crankshaft pulley set bolt.
Tech Tips
Loosen the crankshaft pulley set bolt so that only the first 2 or 3 threads remain in the crankshaft.

Using SST, remove the crankshaft pulley set bolt and crankshaft pulley from the crankshaft.
Note
Apply lubricant to the threads and end of SST (Center Bolt 150).
Do not drop the crankshaft pulley or SST.
REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL

Using a knife, cut off the lip of the timing chain cover oil seal.
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pry out the timing chain cover oil seal from the timing chain cover sub-assembly.
Note
After the removal, check the crankshaft for damage. If it is damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.
