FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH

  2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

  3. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  4. REMOVE OIL FILTER BRACKET

    Click here

  5. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

      Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley and remove the crankshaft bolt.

      Using SST, remove the crankshaft pulley.

  6. REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL

    *1 Protective Tape

    1. Using a knife, cut off the oil seal lip.

    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the oil seal.

      Note

      After the removal, check the crankshaft for damage. If it is damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.
