ECM INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ECM BRACKET (for LHD)


    1. Install the ECM bracket to the ECM with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL ECM BRACKET (for RHD)


    1. Install the ECM bracket to the ECM with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL ECM (for LHD)


    1. Install the ECM with the bolt and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

      Note

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.

    2. B00483Q

      Pull down the 3 levers to engage the lock and connect the 3 connectors to the ECM.

      Note

      Make sure that the levers are securely locked.

  4. INSTALL ECM (for RHD)


    1. Install the ECM with the bolt and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

      Note

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.

      Pull down the 3 levers to engage the lock and connect the 3 connectors to the ECM.

      Note

      Make sure that the levers are securely locked.

  5. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL (for LHD)

  7. INSTALL INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE (for LHD)

  8. INSTALL INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE (for RHD)

  9. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL (for LHD)

    Click here

  10. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL (for RHD)

    Click here

  11. INSTALL FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH (for LHD)

    Click here

  12. INSTALL FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH (for RHD)

    Click here

  13. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

    Click here

  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
