IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SPARK PLUG

    Tech Tips

    Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the spark plug.

    Click here


    1. Install the 4 spark plugs to the cylinder head sub-assembly.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace the spark plug.

      Tech Tips

      Install the same parts to their original positions.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 IGNITION COIL

    Tech Tips

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing a No. 1 ignition coil.

    1. Install the 4 No. 1 ignition coils to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace the No. 1 ignition coil.

      Tech Tips

      Install the same parts to their original positions.

    2. Connect the 4 No. 1 ignition coil connectors.

    3. Engage the clamp to connect the wire harness to the wiring harness clamp bracket.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

  4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION


    1. Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing a spark plug or No. 1 ignition coil.
