ACCELERATOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    Note


    • Avoid physical shock to the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

    • Do not disassemble the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

    • This accelerator pedal sensor assembly does not require lubrication. Do not apply oil or other lubrication to the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

    • If applied, the accelerator pedal sensor assembly must be replaced.

      for CVT and Manual Transaxle with Cruise Control System:


      1. Disconnect the accelerator pedal sensor assembly connector.

      2. Remove the 3 bolts and accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

        Note

        If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

      for Manual Transaxle without Cruise Control System:


      1. Disconnect the accelerator pedal sensor assembly connector.

      2. Remove the 2 bolts and accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

        Note

        If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

  2. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    Note


    • Avoid physical shock to the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

    • Do not disassemble the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

    • This accelerator pedal sensor assembly does not require lubrication. Do not apply oil or other lubrication to the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

    • If applied, the accelerator pedal sensor assembly must be replaced.

      Disconnect the accelerator pedal sensor assembly connector.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

      Note

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.
