PROCEDURE
INSPECT ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE SENSOR
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Atmospheric Pressure
Read the values displayed on the GTS.
OK
---
Approximately the same as ambient atmospheric pressure
If the result is not as specified, replace the atmospheric pressure sensor.
Standard atmospheric pressure is 101 kPa (abs) [758 mmHg (abs)].
For every 100 m (328 ft.) increase in altitude, pressure drops by 1 kPa (7.5 mmHg). This varies by weather.
Remove the glove compartment door assembly.
While applying a vacuum of 66.7 kPa (abs) [500 mmHg (abs)] to the atmospheric pressure sensor using a vacuum pump, read the values displayed on the GTS.
