THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

    Click here

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector of the mass air flow meter.

    2. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the engine wire from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

    3. A01VDOB

      Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the No. 1 air cleaner hose.

    4. Disengage the 2 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly from the No. 1 air cleaner hose.

  4. DISCONNECT NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly from the No. 1 air cleaner hose as shown in the illustration.

  5. DISCONNECT VENTILATION HOSE


    1. A01VL7W

      Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the ventilation hose from the No. 1 air cleaner hose.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE

      Loosen the hose clamp and remove the No. 1 air cleaner hose from the throttle with motor body assembly.

  7. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Loosen the 2 hose clamps disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the throttle with motor body assembly.

  8. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY


    1. A01VF3D

      Disconnect the connector of the throttle with motor body assembly.

    2. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the engine wire from the wire harness clamp bracket.

    3. A01VEP2

      Remove the 4 bolts, wire harness clamp bracket and the throttle with motor body assembly from the intake manifold.

    4. Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
