CAMSHAFT OIL CONTROL VALVE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

2. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (for exhaust side).

      
      

      1. 

         Disconnect the connector of the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

      2. Remove the bolt and the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

         Note

         If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.

      3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

   2. Remove the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (for intake side).

      
      

      1. 

         Disconnect the connector of the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

      2. Remove the bolt and the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

         Note

         If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.

      3. Remove the O-ring from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.
