CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER (w/o DPF)

  2. SEPARATE SENSOR BRACKET (w/o DPF)


    1. A01VF0I

      Disconnect the differential pressure sensor connector.

    2. A01VHRK

      Remove the nut to separate the sensor bracket from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (w/ DPF)


    1. A01VJKO

      Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.

    2. A01VDIV

      Remove the bolt and camshaft position sensor from the timing chain cover assembly.

      Note

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace the camshaft position sensor.

  4. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (w/o DPF)


    1. A01VF3X

      Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.

    2. A01VG5X

      Remove the bolt and camshaft position sensor from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

      Note

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace the camshaft position sensor.
