PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ DPF)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Accel Sens. No. 1 Volt % and Accel Sens. No. 2 Volt %.

    5. Read the value when depressing and releasing the accelerator pedal.

      Standard Voltage
      GTS Display Condition Specified Condition
      Accel Sens. No. 1 Volt % Depressed 52 to 90%
      Released 10 to 22%
      Accel Sens. No. 2 Volt % Depressed 68 to 99%
      Released 24 to 40%

      If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal sensor assembly, wire harness or ECM.

    INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/o DPF)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Accel Sensor Out No. 1 and Accel Sensor Out No. 2.

    5. Read the values displayed on the GTS.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Display Condition Specified Condition
      Accel Sensor Out No. 1 Accelerator pedal is released 0.6 to 1.0 V
      Accelerator pedal is fully depressed 3.0 to 4.6 V
      Accel Sensor Out No. 2 Accelerator pedal is released 1.4 to 1.8 V
      Accelerator pedal is fully depressed 3.7 to 5.0 V

      If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal sensor assembly, wire harness or ECM.
