DESCRIPTION
w/o Entry and Start System
While the engine is being cranked, current flows from terminal ST2 of the ignition or starter switch assembly to the clutch start switch assembly and also flows to terminal STA of the ECM (STA Signal).

Note
When replacing the ECM, the ECM needs Registration and Initialization Click here.
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
Tech Tips
When the ECM must be replaced, before replacing the ECM, perform the "Learning Values Save" function using the GTS. Then after installing the new ECM, perform all of the initialization/registrations for the "Learning Values Write" function by following the instructions shown on the GTS display.

Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Starter Signal.
Check the value displayed on the GTS when the ignition switch is turned to the ON and START positions.

Disconnect the A108 ECM connector.
Remove the ST relay from the engine room relay block.
Disconnect the A90 power management control ECU connector.
Disconnect the A39 clutch start switch assembly connector.
Disconnect the B1 starter assembly connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Disconnect the B1 starter assembly connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
