REAR BRAKE(for Drum Type) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX

    Click here

  2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  3. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

    Note

    Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.

  4. LOOSEN PARKING BRAKE CABLE

    *1 Parking Brake Equalizer
    *2 Lock Nut

    1. Loosen the equalizer and lock nut

      Note

      Do not reuse the loosened nut.

  5. REMOVE REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSEMBLY (for TMC Made)


    1. Release the parking brake and remove the rear brake drum.

      If the rear brake drum cannot be removed easily, perform the following procedure.

      Remove the hole plug and insert a screwdriver through the hole into the backing plate, and hold the automatic adjust lever away from the adjuster.

    3. Using another screwdriver, contract the brake shoe by turning the adjusting bolt.

  6. REMOVE REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSEMBLY (for TMMF Made)

    1. Remove the hole plug.

    2. A01VKCVE02

      Insert SST through the hole in the backing plate, pull the parking brake shoe lever toward the rear of the vehicle and remove the rear brake drum.
