VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT NO. 2 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. Move the shift lever to P and apply the parking brake.

      Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 1 air hose from the No. 2 vacuum switching valve assembly.

    3. Connect the GTS to the DLC3, and then turn the ignition switch to ON.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Brake Ejector VSV Inspection.

    6. Start the engine.

    7. Using the GTS, turn off the No. 2 vacuum switching valve assembly.

    8. Use your finger to confirm that the No. 2 vacuum switching valve assembly has no suction.

    9. Using the GTS, turn on the No. 2 vacuum switching valve assembly.

    10. Use your finger to confirm that the No. 2 vacuum switching valve assembly has suction.

    11. Turn the GTS off and turn the ignition switch off.

    12. Disconnect the GTS from the DLC3.

    13. Connect the No. 1 air hose to the No. 2 vacuum switching valve assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.
