BRAKE BOOSTER(for TMMF Made RHD) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

Release the vacuum from booster by depressing the brake pedal several times.

Then remove the brake master cylinder from brake booster.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Knee Airbag)

  2. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Knee Airbag)

  3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Knee Airbag)

  4. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL

      Disengage the clamp to remove the front No. 1 ventilator seal.

  7. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 1 ventilator seal.

  8. REMOVE INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE

      Remove the 2 bolts and the inner cowl top to cowl brace.

  9. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL

      Disengage the 2 clamps to separate the wire harness.

    2. Remove the 8 bolts and the outer cowl top panel.

  10. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  11. DISCONNECT VACUUM SENSOR CONNECTOR (w/ Vacuum Sensor)

    1. Disconnect the vacuum sensor connector.

  12. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

      Separate the wire harness clamp.

    2. except 2NR-FKE:


      1. Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake vacuum check valve assembly.

    3. A0047LP

      for 2NR-FKE, CVT:


      1. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 vacuum hoses from the 2 brake vacuum check valve assemblies.

    4. for 2NR-FKE, Manual Transaxle:

        Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake vacuum check valve assembly.

    5. A004852

      Separate the wire harness clamp and 4 nuts and remove the brake booster assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the brake tubes.

    6. Remove the gasket from the brake booster assembly.
