BRAKE BOOSTER(for TMMF Made LHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new gasket to the brake booster assembly.

    2. Temporarily install the brake booster assembly with the 4 nuts.

    3. B00472KE02

      Tighten the 4 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

    4. for 1ND-TV:


      1. Install the wire harness bracket with the bolt.

        Torque:
        5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

    5. except 2NR-FKE:


      1. Connect the vacuum hose to the brake vacuum check valve assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

    6. for 2NR-FKE, CVT:


      1. Connect the 2 vacuum hoses to the 2 brake vacuum check valve assemblies and slide the 2 clips to secure them.

    7. for 2NR-FKE, Manual Transaxle:


      1. Connect the vacuum hose to the brake vacuum check valve assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  2. CONNECT VACUUM SENSOR CONNECTOR (w/ Vacuum Sensor)


    1. Connect the vacuum sensor connector.

  3. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  5. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL


    1. Install the outer cowl top panel with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 clamps and install the wire harness.

  6. INSTALL INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE


    1. Install the cowl top to cowl brace with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL


    1. Engage the clip to install the front No. 1 ventilator seal.

  8. INSTALL FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  9. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

  12. INSPECT AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT

  13. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Knee Airbag)

  14. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Knee Airbag)

  15. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Knee Airbag)

  16. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Knee Airbag)
