Note:

Release the vacuum from booster by depressing the brake pedal several times.

Then remove the brake master cylinder from brake booster.

    REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Knee Airbag)

    REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Knee Airbag)

    REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Knee Airbag)

    Click here

    REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Knee Airbag)

    REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

    REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

    REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL

      Disengage the clamp to remove the front No. 1 ventilator seal.

    REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 1 ventilator seal.

    REMOVE INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE

      Remove the 2 bolts and inner cowl top to cowl brace.

    REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL

      Disengage the 2 clamps to separate the wire harness.

      Remove the 8 bolts and outer cowl top panel.

    SEPARATE NO. 2 STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

    SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  14. Click here

    DISCONNECT VACUUM SENSOR CONNECTOR (w/ Vacuum Sensor)

      Disconnect the vacuum sensor connector.

    REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

      1. Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake vacuum check valve assembly.

    2. for 2NR-FKE, CVT:


      1. B00461X

        Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 vacuum hoses from the 2 brake vacuum check valve assemblies.

      for 2NR-FKE, Manual Transaxle:


      1. Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake vacuum check valve assembly.

      for 1ND-TV:


      1. Remove the bolt and separate the wire harness bracket.

    5. B00472K

      Remove the 4 nuts and brake booster assembly.

      Note:

      Do not damage the brake tubes.

    6. Remove the gasket from the brake booster assembly.
