BRAKE BOOSTER(for TMC Made RHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new gasket onto the brake booster assembly.

    2. Temporary install the brake booster assembly with the 4 nuts.

    3. A01VKV2E01

      Tighten the 4 nuts as shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

    4. Install the wire harness clamp.

    5. Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum check valve with the clip.

  2. INSTALL VACUUM SENSOR CONNECTOR (w/ Stop And Start System)


    1. Connect the vacuum sensor connector.

  3. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS


    1. Install the push rod lock nut and brake master cylinder push rod clevis to the brake booster assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the push rod lock nut after adjusting the brake pedal height.

      *1 Lithium Soap Base Glycol Grease

      Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the push rod pin.

    3. Install the brake master cylinder push rod clevis with the push rod pin and a new clip.

    4. Install the brake pedal return spring.

  4. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL


    1. Install the outer cowl top panel with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 clamps and install the wire harness.

  5. INSTALL INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE


    1. Install the cowl top to cowl brace with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL


    1. Engage the clip and install the front No. 1 ventilator seal.

  7. INSTALL FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the front No. 1 ventilator seal.

  8. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  10. INSPECT AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL

  11. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
