BRAKE BOOSTER(for TMMF Made RHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new gasket to the brake booster assembly.

    2. Temporarily install the brake booster assembly with the 4 nuts.

    3. B00472WE01

      Tighten the 4 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

    4. Install the wire harness clamp.

    5. for 2NR-FKE, CVT:


      1. Connect the 2 vacuum hoses to the 2 brake vacuum check valve assemblies and slide the 2 clips to secure them.

    6. for 2NR-FKE, Manual Transaxle:


      1. Connect the vacuum hose to the brake vacuum check valve assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

    7. except 2NR-FKE:


      1. Connect the vacuum hose to the brake vacuum check valve assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

    8. Install the wire harness clamp.

  2. INSTALL VACUUM SENSOR CONNECTOR (w/ Vacuum Sensor)


    1. Connect the vacuum sensor connector.

  3. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

  4. INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (When Using the Engine Support Bridge for 2ZR-FE)

  5. REMOVE ENGINE SUPPORT BRIDGE (When Using the Engine Support Bridge for 2ZR-FE)

  6. REMOVE ENGINE HANGER (When Using the Engine Support Bridge for 2ZR-FE)

  7. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER (When Using the Engine Support Bridge for 2ZR-FE)

  8. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY (When Using the Engine Support Bridge for 2ZR-FE)

  9. INSTALL BATTERY (When Using the Engine Support Bridge for 2ZR-FE)

  10. INSTALL AIR CLEANER BRACKET (When Using the Engine Support Bridge for 2ZR-FE)

  11. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (When Using the Engine Support Bridge for 2ZR-FE)

  12. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY (When Using the Engine Support Bridge for 2ZR-FE)

  13. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE (When Using the Engine Support Bridge for 2ZR-FE)

  14. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE (When Using the Engine Support Bridge for 2ZR-FE)

  15. INSTALL ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE (When Not Using the Engine Support Bridge for 2ZR-FE)

  16. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL


    1. Install the outer cowl top panel with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 clamps and install the wire harness.

  17. INSTALL INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE


    1. Install the cowl top to cowl brace with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

  18. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL


    1. Engage the clip to install the front No. 1 ventilator seal.

  19. INSTALL FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the front No. 1 ventilator seal.

  20. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  22. INSPECT AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT

  23. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Knee Airbag)

  24. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Knee Airbag)

  25. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Knee Airbag)
