BRAKE PEDAL(for TMC Made) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the connector from the stop light switch assembly.

    2. Disengage the harness clamp from the pedal support.

    3. A01VETS

      Turn the stop light switch counterclockwise and remove the stop light switch assembly.

  4. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

    1. Remove the brake pedal return spring.

    2. Remove the clip and push rod pin and separate the push rod clevis from the brake pedal.

  5. SEPARATE NO. 2 STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    1. Place matchmarks on the No. 2 steering intermediate shaft assembly and steering column assembly.

    2. Loosen bolt A.

    3. Remove bolt B and separate the No. 2 steering intermediate shaft assembly from the steering column assembly.

  6. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      Remove the 4 nuts and bolt and remove the pedal support.

  7. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Remove the wire harness clamp.

    2. A01VHL9

      Remove the 4 nuts and bolt and remove the pedal support.
