BRAKE ACTUATOR(for TMMF Made RHD) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

    Note

    Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.

  2. REMOVE BATTERY

    Click here

  3. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

    Click here

  4. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER (for 1KR-FE)

    1. Disengage the 5 wire harness clamps and disconnect the wire harness from the battery carrier.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and battery carrier.

  5. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER (for 2NR-FKE)

  6. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER (for 1ND-TV)

  7. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/o VSC)

      Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.

      Note

      Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.

      Using a union nut wrench 10 mm, separate the 6 brake tubes from the brake actuator.

    3. Separate the brake tube from brake tube clamp.

    4. Remove the bolt and brake tube clamp from brake actuator.

    5. A0048BU

      Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator with bracket.

      Note

      Do not damage the brake tubes or wire harness.

  8. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ VSC)

      Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.

      Note

      Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.

      Using a union nut wrench 10 mm and union nut wrench 12 mm, separate the 6 brake tubes from the brake actuator.

    3. Separate the brake tube from brake tube clamp.

    4. Remove the bolt and brake tube clamp from brake actuator.

      Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator with bracket.

      Note

      Do not damage the brake tubes or wire harness.

  9. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 nuts, bolt and brake actuator bracket.

  10. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR BOLT CUSHION


    1. Remove the 3 brake actuator case collars from the brake actuator bolt cushion.

    2. Remove the 3 brake actuator bolt cushions from the brake actuator bracket assembly.
