DESCRIPTION

This solenoid is turned on in accordance with signals from the skid control ECU and controls the pressure on the wheel cylinders to control the braking force.

When any of following conditions detected:


  1. During switching solenoid (SMC1, SMC2, SRC1 or SRC2) ON signal input, overcurrent continues for 0.05 seconds or more.

  2. During switching solenoid (SMC1, SMC2, SRC1 or SRC2) OFF signal input, open circuit continues for 0.05 seconds or more.

  3. During switching solenoid (SMC1, SMC2, SRC1 or SRC2) ON signal input, open circuit continues for 0.01 seconds or more.

  4. During switching solenoid (SMC1, SMC2, SRC1 or SRC2) OFF signal input, current continues to be applied for 0.1 seconds or more.

  5. Short to GND in switching solenoid (SMC1, SMC2, SRC1 or SRC2) continues for 0.1 seconds or more.

  6. Switching solenoids (SMC1, SMC2, SRC1 or SRC2) shorted for 0.1 seconds or more.

  1. RECONFIRM DTC


    1. Clear the DTC(s) Click here.

    2. Start the engine.

    3. Check if the same DTC(s) is output Click here.

      Tech Tips

      If any DTCs are output while jiggling a connector or wire harness of the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), inspect and repair the connector or wire harness. The DTCs were possibly output due to a bad connection of the connector terminal.
