DESCRIPTION

Steering angle sensor signals are sent to the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) via the CAN communication system. When there is a malfunction in the CAN communication system, it will be detected by the steering angle sensor zero point malfunction diagnostic function.

DTC No. Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1290 Steering angle sensor zero point deviates from zero point stored in skid control ECU by 20 degrees or more.
  • Steering angle sensor (Spiral cable sub-assembly)

  • Steering angle sensor (Spiral cable sub-assembly) circuit

  • CAN communication system

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM STEERING ANGLE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION


    1. Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor Click here.

    2. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 15 km/h (9 mph) or more (zero point is obtained automatically).
